Early symptoms of sacral tumor

In the very early stage of sacral tumor, there can be no symptoms, but as the disease worsens and the tumor increases, the main symptom that appears later is pain. Sacral tumors are mainly benign tumors such as giant cell tumor of bone or chordoma, which are less likely to metastasize, but will mainly cause pain as the tumor continues to grow, compressing the surrounding nerves and destroying the bone. The pain is mainly in the sacrum, i.e. the sacrococcygeal area, which is the pain at the back of the buttocks, and the pain is often accompanied by radiation, spreading to one or both sides of the buttocks, because the patient’s sciatic nerve is affected. With the further progress of the disease, the pain will also be accompanied by numbness, especially after cold and exertion, this symptom will be easily aggravated, but if the symptoms appear, the sacral tumor has already developed relatively large. In short, the most important symptom in early stage is pain.
