How to treat odontogenic mucinous tumors of the maxilla

The treatment of maxillary odontogenic mucinous tumor is mainly surgical resection, jawbone often need to perform partial resection, and jawbone reconstruction at the same time. 1. Odontogenic mucinous tumor often occurs in young people, mostly in the jawbone. Mucinous tumors usually grow slowly and show localized infiltrative growth. 2. Although maxillary odontogenic mucinous tumor is a benign tumor, because the tumor often has no envelope or incomplete envelope, locally invasive, easy to recur after surgery, clinically, it is usually treated as a low-grade malignant tumor, and the surgery needs to be carried out at 0.5cm outside the tumor. If the tumor is large, partial resection of the jawbone is often required, and jawbone reconstruction is performed at the same time. If the diagnosis of odontogenic mucinous tumor of the maxilla is confirmed, early and standardized treatment is recommended to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
