Shimen acupoint belongs to the Ren vein, is the recruitment point of Sanjiao, which is located in the lower abdomen of the human body, on the anterior midline, when the umbilicus in the lower 2 inches. Under the point, there are superficial movable and venous branches of the abdominal wall, movable and venous branches of the lower abdominal wall, and also the medial branch of the anterior cutaneous branch of the eleventh intercostal nerve, and in its deep part is the small intestine.
This point is mainly used to treat intestinal disorders such as abdominal distension, diarrhea, dysentery, pain around the umbilicus, etc.; Pengyu qi (there is gas rushing upward from the lower abdomen to the chest and throat, like a piglet rushing across the body), hernia, edema, dysuria (unruly urination), spermatorrhea, impotence; gynecological disorders such as amenorrhea, diaphoresis, disintegrative leakage (menstrual flow of excessive amount or more than just a few drops), and post-partum discharges of evil dews.
