The eight common triggers for the development of hepatic encephalopathy, including high protein diet, constipation, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, excessive diuretic application, sedative application, large amount of ascites release, electrolyte disorders, and various kinds of infections, are the eight triggers that lead to the development of hepatic encephalopathy in patients. Hepatic encephalopathy is based on severe liver disease, patients with metabolic disorders, causing central nervous system dysfunction, manifested as changes in consciousness and behavior, which can lead to coma. Patients with hepatic encephalopathy are diagnosed clinically by the following factors: 1) the presence of primary liver disease; 2) the presence of triggers of hepatic encephalopathy; 3) the presence of obvious liver function impairment; 4) the presence of neuropsychiatric changes, lethargy or coma; and 5) the presence of fluttering tremor.
