Dark spots on the skin may be caused by age spots, chloasma, pigmented nevi, etc. They can be removed by physical therapy, medication and surgery.
1. Age spots: also known as seborrheic keratosis, are common benign skin tumors. Generally there is no need to deal with it. If it consciously affects aesthetics, it can be removed by cryotherapy, carbon dioxide laser and other physical treatments.
2. Chloasma: related to ultraviolet radiation, pregnancy, endocrine disorders and other factors, it can lead to yellow-brown patches on the face and deepen after sun exposure. Attention should be paid to sun protection, and hydroquinone cream, azelaic acid, oral tranexamic acid and other medications can be used as prescribed by doctors. Stabilized chloasma can be combined with photoelectric treatment, such as intense pulse light, Q laser, etc.
3. Pigmented nevus: it is a benign skin tumor originated from melanocytes. Generally, benign pigmented nevus does not need special treatment, and it can be treated by laser or surgical excision if necessary.
