The side effects of chasteberry and damage to the liver are currently unknown. Chasteberry has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidney, brightening the eyes and darkening the hair, and can be used for liver and kidney yin deficiency (deficiency of yin fluid in the liver and kidney), vertigo and tinnitus, lumbar and knee soreness and weakness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee areas), premature whitening of the beard, darkening and uncertainty of the eyes, internal heat and thirst (symptoms of internal heat accompanied by more food, more drink and more urination), and bone vaporization and tidal fever (a burst of heat with a feeling that the heat is penetrating outward from the inside of the bones). The adverse effects of this product are not clear, and the damage to the liver is not clear. This product is cold in nature and should not be taken in large quantities for a long period of time whenever there is external wind-cold, internal cold injury, deficiency of cold in the spleen and stomach (spleen and stomach are weak and cold), or deficiency of kidney yang (deficiency of yang qi in the kidneys). Spleen deficiency and dampness, slippery stools, long-term diarrhea should not be single drug large quantities of long-term use.
