Lung nodular foci are nodular shadows within the lung parenchyma, which can be oval or round, with low or high density shadows, with the maximum diameter of the lesion not exceeding 3 centimeters.
Lung nodules can be categorized into four types: inflammatory nodules, tuberculous nodules, other benign nodules, and malignant nodules. After the discovery of pulmonary nodules, it is necessary to combine the patient’s medical history, other symptoms and examination, etc., to clarify the nature of the nodules and then targeted treatment.
Pneumonic nodules are mainly treated with anti-inflammatory therapy. After anti-inflammatory therapy, the nodules will disappear or gradually become smaller.
Tuberculous nodules can also disappear after anti-tuberculosis treatment, and in some patients, the nodules may become calcified and fixed.
Other benign nodules are mainly under the guidance of the doctor for regular review, according to the changes in the nodule, choose the appropriate treatment.
Malignant nodules in the lungs usually refer to malignant tumors in the lungs, and this kind of nodule, after determining the nature, is mainly chosen for surgical treatment, which should be carried out at an early stage.
