What’s going on with the involuntary face twitching and throbbing on half of your face?

Half of the involuntary face twitching and throbbing may be related to physiological factors, but also may be caused by facial muscle spasm, epilepsy and other causes.
1. Physiological factors: for example, a sudden encounter with stress time stimulation, resulting in high mental and emotional tension, may cause half of the face involuntary twitching and throbbing. When the emotion is stabilized, the symptoms can gradually disappear without special intervention.
2. Facial muscle spasm: It is mostly considered that it may be related to mechanical stimulation, facial nerve compression or poor recovery from facial nerve paralysis, etc. When facial muscle spasm occurs, it may cause involuntary twitching and throbbing of half of the face, and gradually expand to the corners of the mouth and the whole facial muscle.
3. Epilepsy: epileptic focal seizures may also originate from one side of the face twitching, involuntary twitching and jumping, and then the limbs begin to twitch, and in severe cases, foaming at the mouth and confusion may occur.
Half of the involuntary face twitching and jumping, after excluding physiological factors, should be early to the regular hospital.
