How to treat STD herpes

The STD herpes is generally referred to as genital herpes in clinical terms. Genital herpes is an infection by the herpes simplex virus, resulting in a common sexually transmitted disease that is chronic, difficult to cure, and prone to recurrence. Genital herpes is clinically indicated by the preferred antiviral drugs, like acyclovir, valacyclovir, and famciclovir. In patients with first occurrence of genital herpes, the application can receive significant results in about 7-10 days. However, there are some patients who have recurrent episodes and for recurrent patients, the above mentioned antivirals can be applied again and the effect can be received in about 5 days of application. There are also some patients who have multiple attacks within a year, and such patients need to take antiviral drugs for a long time, usually about six months to a year. Patients can also apply acyclovir and penciclovir ointment topically along with the treatment. If the patient also has a combined bacterial infection, an antibiotic ointment can be applied topically, like erythromycin ointment.
