What do diabetic patients need to pay attention to in order to get glasses?

Blurred vision is a common symptom in diabetic patients, and the first thing many patients think of when they develop this symptom is to get glasses to improve their vision. The author reminds all patients that they need to take their time in getting glasses. Cataracts, vitreous clouding, retinopathy, and transient refractive changes can all cause vision loss, and not all blurred vision can be resolved by wearing glasses. The fluctuation of blood glucose will cause the refractive power to change, and the increase will cause myopia and the decrease will cause farsightedness, so you should not wear glasses when your blood glucose is unstable, because the glasses will not be used for a long time. It is recommended that patients should first monitor their blood glucose and adjust their diabetic treatment plan if they have blurred vision, and then go to a regular hospital for ophthalmology examination to clarify the cause if their blood glucose is not stable, and then get glasses to improve their vision if necessary.
