Can lumbar spinal nerve adhesions heal on their own?

Lumbar spine nerve adhesions are not self-healing. Once this occurs, it often indicates that the nerve roots of the lumbar spine are subjected to heavy pressure and stimulation for a longer period of time, which then produces inflammatory exudation around the area and subsequently produces some scar tissue of adhesions. Once this happens, the patient may not be able to heal himself by braking and resting, and the symptoms may be relieved for a short period of time by resting, but once the area is stimulated by weight-bearing or pulling, the lesion will be very obvious again. Therefore, patients with lumbar spinal nerve adhesions are not able to heal on their own, and for this situation, we should take appropriate active treatment as soon as possible, such as minimally invasive treatment, injection of some anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling, pain-relieving drugs, or ozone and so on. In addition, for more serious adhesions, routine surgery is required to release the nerve and to thoroughly clean the surrounding adhesions.
