The main therapeutic drugs for cancer are chemotherapeutic drugs and targeted therapeutic drugs. Chemical drugs can be divided into eight categories according to their mechanism of action: 1) alkylating agents, 2) platinum drugs, 3) anti-metabolic drugs, 4) anti-microtubule protein drugs, 5) anti-tumor antibiotics, 6) topoisomerase I and II inhibitors, 7) other anti-tumor drugs, 8) endocrine therapy drugs. The above 8 drugs are chemotherapeutic drugs, then another major category of targeted therapeutic drugs can be divided into two categories through its different targets: 1. monoclonal antibodies, 2. small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
