Can precocious heart disease be prevented?

Can precocious heart disease be prevented? To a large extent, it is possible. When preparing for pregnancy, it is best to know the family medical history of both partners and to be prepared if there is a genetic history of precocious heart disease. It is advisable to inform the doctor who will do the ultrasound during the maternity exam so that the fetal heart can be examined in detail. If there is any suspicion, go to a more specialized hospital to rule it out. During the second month of pregnancy, prevent colds and avoid taking any medication. If it is necessary to take them, consult your doctor if there is a safer alternative and if the dosage can be reduced. Avoid unhealthy lifestyles such as smoking, alcohol, drugs, and staying up late. Is preeclampsia hereditary? There is a genetic predisposition for precardiac disease. However, the probability of inheritance varies for a specific disease. It is generally believed that the closer the relatives are in the family, the greater the effect. If a parent has prediabetes, the probability of the child having the disease increases. A first child with prediabetes is also more likely to have a second child than the norm. Families with a genetic history of preexisting heart disease should communicate with their doctor to inform them of their medical history when they have a maternity checkup after pregnancy.
