What is the management of intussusception

Since there are many causes of intussusception, general treatment (rehydration, etc.), enema treatment (air enema, etc.) and surgical treatment should be given according to the patient’s condition.
1. General treatment: because patients with intussusception may have dehydration and electrolyte disorder, so when there is dehydration and electrolyte disorder, it is necessary to give rehydration therapy to fully replenish water and correct electrolyte disorder.
2. Enema treatment: because if patients with intussusception are not repositioned in time, complications such as intestinal necrosis, perforation and peritonitis may occur, so they need to be repositioned by enema as soon as possible, and air enema is the most common one.
3. Surgical treatment: for the failure of enema reset, or the lesion is longer, has occurred intestinal necrosis, perforation and other complications, it is necessary to give surgical treatment, such as intussusception reset, intestinal resection anastomosis and so on.
When intussusception occurs, it is recommended that the patient should consult a doctor in time and improve the auxiliary examination, so as to clarify the condition and the corresponding treatment measures.
