Hospitalization is required for hysteroscopic surgery for uterine adhesions.
Uterine adhesion is a condition in which the uterine cavity is partially or completely adherent due to damage to the basal layer of the lining of the uterus caused by pregnancy or other factors, and fibrosis of the lining of the uterine cavity, which can lead to abnormal menstruation, infertility, or recurrent miscarriages.
Hysteroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive gynecological surgical technique, which does not require skin incisions on the surface of the body. Instead, an instrument with an imaging system is inserted directly into the vagina and enters the uterine cavity through the cervix, transmitting the situation inside the uterine cavity to a monitor, allowing the surgeon to observe and treat diseased tissues inside the uterine cavity under direct vision.
Although hysteroscopic surgery is a routine surgery, various examinations need to be conducted before the surgery, and the patient’s physical recovery needs to be observed after the surgery to avoid various complications. Therefore, hospitalization is required for hysteroscopic surgery, and the general hospitalization time is about 3-7 days.
