How many grades of cystic nodules in the thyroid gland?

Cystic thyroid nodules are generally classified as grade 3 according to ultrasound imaging of the thyroid gland, and are mostly considered benign. Of course, for larger cystic nodules, especially those larger than 4 cm in diameter, surgery can be considered and unilateral lobectomy can be performed in this case, which is not very invasive. At the same time, for cystic thyroid nodules, the main thing is to observe the solid component inside the cystic nodule. If the solid component is the main component, and the ultrasound of the solid component indicates irregular shape and rich blood flow, this cystic nodule can reach 4a or above through imaging classification, for this case, there are indications for surgery, because it cannot completely exclude the possibility of papillary thyroid cancer.
