Very little or no bleeding is normal after a cervical biopsy. There is no active bleeding after a cervical biopsy, but a cervical biopsy is a traumatic injury and a small amount of oozing or bleeding at the biopsy wound site is normal and usually stops on its own very quickly and active bleeding does not continue to occur. After the cervical biopsy procedure is completed, regardless of whether or not there is bleeding at the cervical biopsy wound site, in order to prevent postoperative bleeding, the doctor will usually use sterile gauze to cover the wound site, which serves as compression to stop bleeding. After removing the gauze there is mostly no bleeding, there will be a small amount of bloody discharge, so the bleeding after the cervical biopsy is not obvious or even no bleeding at all. If there is active bleeding after cervical biopsy, no matter how much bleeding is abnormal, you should go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions to deal with the treatment.
