Elbow stiffness that can be loosened by arthroscopy!

There are various causes of elbow stiffness, but the two most common ones are: 1) fracture of the elbow joint; 2) elbow joint pathology (e.g. synovial chondromatosis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.). After elbow fracture, whether operated or not, it may be complicated by ossifying myositis, which in common parlance , means that the soft tissue around the joint becomes like bone tissue, limiting the movement of the joint, especially after elbow fracture, because of poor joint mobility, violent exercises or patients who undergo manipulation and release are more prone to this complication. Some lesions within the joint, such as synovial chondromatosis or rheumatoid arthritis, may also cause stiffness in the elbow joint. So, is there a way to deal with this condition? Meng Chunqing, Department of Orthopedics, Wuhan Union Hospital The Center for Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at Wuhan Union Orthopedic Hospital has performed minimally invasive arthroscopic release surgery on dozens of patients with elbow stiffness for several years, with definite results, and the patients have recovered their elbow function to varying degrees after the surgery. Last year, I performed elbow release surgery for a photographer, and the patient was very satisfied after the surgery because she had not touched her camera since the injury because she could not bend her elbow joint. When she was reviewed in the outpatient clinic 3 months after the surgery, the patient happily told me that she had picked up her camera again and was producing excellent work.
