What to do with strange postpartum diseases

Song, female, 28 years old, the patient in the postpartum 4 days appeared lumbar pain, in a hospital buried ankle needle treatment did not work; 20 days later the patient’s left thigh heel also appeared pain, lying down when the left leg than the right leg 4-5cm long, walking because of the length of different, and waist and inner thigh pain, so extremely inconvenient, usually lying in bed or sitting at home. At that time, I was studying in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and often prescribed Chinese medicine and acupuncture to patients and some doctors and nurses, and several doctors and nurses recognized me as a Chinese medicine doctor and thought I could solve some problems that western medicine did not have satisfactory results. A nurse surnamed Wang in the department was a friend of Song, so she asked me to treat Song. When I first saw this patient, I really felt at a loss as to where to start. From my memory, only Mr. Yue Meizhong of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine had treated a case of unbalanced development of the left and right hemipelvis with Hexia Tianma Bai Zhu Tang, but it was congenital and this was acquired, so it was obviously different. Because of the special condition, I was also unsure, so in order to avoid delaying the condition, I advised him to go to the orthopedic department of the hospital, which did not see any obvious abnormality, so I could not treat him and could only suggest recuperation and observation. Disappointed, the patient was referred to a famous orthopedic department in Harbin City, where he was treated for a week, with no effect. The nurse surnamed Wang asked me to try treatment again, so I did not excuse myself. After work, I went with her to Song’s home and saw the patient sweating more, looking tired, complaining of fear of wind, malodorous dew has been exhausted, breast milk is still available, the rest of the evidence as before, tongue light coating white, pulse smooth and slightly thin. At that time, after pondering for a long time, I prescribed the following: Huang Qi Gui Zhi Wu Wu Wu Tang from The Essentials of the Golden Horoscope, combined with Angelica Sinensis Blood Tonic Soup from The Treatise on Internal and External Injuries, plus Chicken Blood Vine, Papaya, Ling Xian, Duzhong and Chuan Xiong, five doses. At that time, I was not sure about the efficacy of the treatment. Five days later, the patient walked to my office (it was a weekend and I did not work at the hospital) for a follow-up consultation! After only five days of medication, her sweating, fatigue and lumbar pain were greatly reduced, and the length of her legs were basically the same again, and her walking was basically unaffected. The patient was delighted when she was cured with a total of 14 treatments after additional reduction. This is a case of strange postpartum disease that I treated during my doctoral studies in Heilongjiang. So far I have not encountered a second case of the same patient, and I have not seen the same case reported in journals and magazines, so this is recorded for the reference of my colleagues.
