Whether or not fire cupping is good in summer is determined with individual physique, condition, etc., and cannot be generalized.
Fire cupping is the use of combustion to consume part of the oxygen in the can, and the heat of the flame to make the gas inside the can expand and discharge part of the air inside the can, so that the air pressure inside the can is lower than the outside atmospheric pressure (collectively referred to as negative pressure), so as to adsorb the can on the skin of the site of the application. It has the effect of dispelling wind and dampness, warming menstruation and dispersing cold, activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, reducing swelling and relieving pain.
Patients who have cold, fever, cough, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, or bandhas in summer can usually have fire cupping in summer. Generally through the fire cupping treatment, the patient’s discomfort can be relieved.
People who are too hungry, drunk, too full, or overworked should not have fire cupping. Those who are not able to cooperate with fire cupping, such as those who are mentally disturbed, in psychotic episodes, or manic and restless, are not recommended to have fire cupping.
If you need to have fire cupping in summer, it is recommended to go to a professional medical institution.
