Is a cold a disease?

Cold is not a disease, it is an inevitable process of the body’s positive energy resisting the evil energy. We all have a breath of true Yang, which sustains life and protects the body from evil. The human body feels wind and cold evil qi, which causes a cold. The so-called cold is the reaction of the evil qi from the surface into the inside, and the yang qi of the body, such as sneezing, headache, body pain, nasal congestion, runny nose, cold, fever, etc. At the beginning of a cold, the symptoms are all solar superficial, that is, the evil qi enters the body from the solar meridian, which is the main surface of the body. The Sun meridian is full of Yang Qi, so Yang Qi starts to resist the invasion of evil Qi. Therefore, a cold is a process in which positive qi resists evil qi, and in a sense, it is also a manifestation of the adequacy of positive qi. Therefore, if the positive qi is sufficient, the evil qi is driven away and the cold is quickly cured. If the righteousness is weak, the evil qi will stay in the body and the cold will not be cured for a long time or even linger. Even the slightest movement of wind and grass, the body does not win its evil, and cold symptoms appear, several times a year, frequent attacks. Therefore, it can be said that the essence of a cold is the body’s self-reaction to repel evil. In fact, the so-called fever is just a natural reaction to the struggle between good and evil, and it can be said that a fever means that the body still has a bit of yang energy. This is a good thing, it means that our body’s Yang Qi is not deficient. Those who are weak in yang energy usually do not have fever if they have a cold, and even if they do, it is not a high fever. This is because their yang is not enough and the evil does not meet with resistance and naturally goes straight to the level of the three yin. Think about it, after the age of thirty-five, is it that you rarely get a high fever after a cold? Don’t think it’s a good thing, hurry up and get your TCM practitioner to replenish your vital energy. After treatment, if there is a high fever, it is something to be congratulated, which means that your vital energy is sufficient for a fierce fight against evil. Treating a cold also means helping the body’s righteous energy to drive away the evil energy. Therefore, colds are very treatable. If the positive qi is strong, open the doors and windows to let the evil qi out; if the positive qi is weak, open the doors and windows while supporting the positive qi, and the evil qi can also go out. This is such an easy thing to do, why does it take so long to heal and even turn into a serious illness or even a chronic illness? We can’t help but seriously think about whether our understanding of colds is reasonable. According to common sense, if a cold is not treated, it will generally pass in five or six days on its own. But why do many people in today’s society have colds that lead to rhinitis, laryngitis, myocarditis, nephritis, etc.? Whose fault is it? Why is it so? The key problem is the massive abuse of antibiotics to reduce fever, and although the surface symptoms disappear temporarily, other symptoms that are more serious are bound to appear soon. Because antibiotics are cold drugs, it will harm the vital energy, leading to insufficient resistance of the vital energy, and the evil energy is able to penetrate deep into the level of the three Yin meridians. In fact, using cold and clear herbs to reduce fever and antibiotics to reduce fever are the same way, the harm is the same. Such a cure is equal to harm! Unfortunately, the current antibiotics are abused, although there is national legislation to prohibit the abuse of antibiotics, but the effect is not obvious. The country’s various hospitals, large and small, vie to use antibiotics to reduce fever, the more they use the bolder, the more they feel good to use, so antibiotics are increasingly out of control, the result is that the health of the nation’s people are spoiled. In this regard, children and teenagers are the hardest hit. As parents, I wonder how they feel about this. According to traditional Chinese medicine, fever is the best treatment for a cold! The fever itself is the process of the righteousness to get rid of the evil, therefore, those who are afraid of fever are bound to attract the evil deeper. A doctor who helps a patient try to reduce fever is actually trying to surrender to the aggressor.
