Having pubic lice, or pubic lice disease, can be detected as soon as 2-3 days after a patient is infected with pubic lice, or as late as about a week.
Pubic lice disease is a parasitic disease caused by pubic lice biting the skin of the pubic area and the vicinity of the anus, which is mainly characterized by itching, red rashes, and greenish ecchymosis at the infected area.
If the patient is infected with mature pubic lice, it is usually noticed within 2-3 days. Due to the fast reproduction rate of pubic lice, itching and red rashes may appear on the affected area after infection.
If the patient is infected with pubic lice eggs, it may take about a week to find out as the eggs need about 6-8 days to hatch and then about 13-17 days to hatch into adult lice.
It is recommended that the patient should consult a doctor in time for examination and targeted treatment after clarifying the condition, pay attention to personal hygiene in life, keep the skin of the private parts clean and dry, bathe and change clothes diligently, and follow the doctor’s instructions for regular follow-up.
