Normal value of fetal heart rate

The normal value of fetal heart rate is 110-160 beats per minute, but it may be as fast as 170-180 when the fetus is active, which is very short-lived and quickly drops to normal. If the fetal heart rate remains below 160 beats/min or 110 beats/min for more than 10 minutes, it is considered as tachycardia or bradycardia, which is abnormal and must be further examined under the guidance of a doctor. The fetal heart will accelerate at least 15 times during each fetal movement and last for more than 15 seconds. The acceleration of the fetal heart indicates that the reserve capacity of the fetal baby is good. When the fetal heart does not accelerate during fetal movement, but decreases, the decline is at 50 times/minute and lasts for 30-60 seconds, this situation belongs to late deceleration, which indicates that the fetus is hypoxic, the placenta is not functioning well and needs timely treatment, and the fetus is in danger at any time. The fetal heartbeat in the middle and late stages of pregnancy mainly depends on fetal heartbeat to initially determine the fetal well-being. The fetal heartbeat may change in a transient manner due to pressure on the fetal head, cord winding, contractions or palpation. Don’t be too nervous during pregnancy, observe the fetal movement closely, do fetal heart monitoring once a week in late pregnancy, and go to the hospital for review if abnormalities are found, and if necessary, hospitalization under the guidance of the doctor.
