Gastric stones and consequences: gastric stones are mostly due to fasting eating food that is easy to coagulate or aggregate again in the stomach. The most common ones are persimmon, hawthorn; earlier years persimmon cake, black dates more; individual and rice cake. These foods enter the stomach in large quantities on an empty stomach, and then gather again due to the absence of other foods, stick together to form a mass, and gradually form a harder shell under the action of gastric acid, because the mass is too large to pass through the exit of the stomach (pylorus), long-term stimulation of the gastric mucosa causes gastric ulcers, resulting in pain, gastric bleeding. If the ulcer does not heal for a long time, it can also produce cancer. Examination and treatment: Gastroscopy is the most intuitive and effective. Gastroscopy can be done directly with professional instruments to crush the stone to the extent that it can pass through the pylorus; generally smaller ones can be done at once, while larger ones must be crushed several times. This is followed by oral alkaline and antacid medications. In the past, the surgical method of opening the stomach wall to remove the stone and suture it is basically not done in China. In areas where gastroscopy is not available, upper gastrointestinal tract imaging can also be used to clarify the problem, but endoscopic lithotripsy is also required. Prevention: Firstly, you cannot eat the above-mentioned foods on an empty stomach; secondly, it is not easy to eat a lot of food even after a meal.
