Uremia can live twenty years or even longer in its early stage. Because uremia is not an incurable disease nowadays, there are many treatment options available to us, such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, colonic dialysis and kidney transplantation. As long as we usually adhere to the medication, regular dialysis, control blood sugar, blood pressure, blood lipids, improve anemia and malnutrition, maintain good habits and a happy mood, and strengthen the usual activities and exercises, we can live twenty years or even longer with these treatments. But in the early stage of uremia, it is a progressive developmental disease with irreversibility. Its development is related to two factors, one is closely related to the underlying cause, and the other is related to various comorbidities and aggravating factors, such as infection, heart failure, dehydration or improper treatment, all of which can lead to deterioration of kidney function. However, if the aggravating factors are corrected rapidly, the disease can be partially reversed.
