Genetic height algorithm: Boy’s adult height = (father’s height + mother’s height + 13)/2, girl’s adult height = (father’s height + mother’s height – 13)/2.
Children’s height is affected by genetic and environmental factors, of which genetic factors account for about 70% and environmental factors account for about 30%. Environmental factors include: balanced diet and nutrition, illness and disease status, family and social environment (sports and physical training, etc.).
Height growth is continuous and staged. It increases rapidly in the first year of life, especially in the first 3 months, and the first year is the first growth spurt; the growth rate slows down after the second year, and then accelerates again in puberty, when the second growth spurt occurs.
Height and weight are both indicators of normal growth and development. We should not focus on height at the expense of weight, and balanced development is needed for healthy growth.
If there is any discomfort, it is recommended that regular treatment be carried out under the guidance of a doctor or relevant professional.
