There is no such thing as a reflex zone for the spleen and stomach on the back of the body in Chinese medicine, but there are corresponding Spleen Points and Stomach Points that can be used to treat diseases of the spleen and stomach system.
1. Spleen Point: Located in the spinal region, below the spinous process of the 11th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 inches away from the posterior midline. It is used for treating abdominal distension, dullness (lack of appetite and reduced food intake), vomiting, diarrhea, dysentery, blood in stool, edema, excessive food and hunger, emaciation, and back pain.
2. Stomach Point: Located in the spinal region, under the spinous process of the 12th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 inches away from the posterior midline. It is used for treating gastric pain, vomiting, abdominal distension, bowel sounds, excessive food and hunger, and body emaciation.
Prompt medical attention is recommended in case of discomfort. If needling of the above acupoints is required, it needs to be operated by a specialized doctor.
