Cachexia, also known as cancer, belongs to the category of deficiency labor in Chinese medicine. The causes of cancer are complicated, and qi stagnation and blood stasis is only one of the causes of cancer.

Since the liver is the main regulator of excretion and relaxation of qi, the spleen is the source of qi and blood biochemistry, and the kidneys are the main sealing and hiding of true yin and yuanyang, the occurrence and development of cancer are closely related to the liver, the spleen and the kidneys.
