Sophora flowers in water can be used to treat diseases such as blood in stool, hemorrhoids, bloody diarrhea, metrorrhagia (excessive or spotty menstruation), and vomiting blood. Sophora has a bitter flavor and is slightly cold. It belongs to the liver and large intestine meridians. It has the effects of cooling the blood to stop bleeding (cooling and moisturizing the blood to prevent bleeding), and clearing the liver and diarrhea (removing liver fire).
