Umbilical ureteral fistula is caused by incomplete closure of the urethra and is mainly characterized by the flow of urine from the navel. It is treated surgically by removing the navel and the fistula and then closing the fistula at the top of the bladder with an invasive suture. After surgery, the patient is catheterized for a period of time and the catheter is removed when the wound has recovered. Umbilical ureteral fistula is not difficult to diagnose and is relatively easy to treat, but the patient is psychologically burdened, so psychological support is needed to relieve their tension. In addition, these patients often have obstruction of the lower urinary tract, and if this is the case, care should be taken to remove the obstruction so as not to cause kidney damage. In addition, we should take good care of the incision after surgery, observe whether there are signs of redness, swelling and inflammation, and change the dressing of the incision regularly. Pay proper attention to rest, balanced diet and nutrition, avoid spicy and stimulating food.
