It should also be contraindicated in pregnant women, patients with hemolytic anemia and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. Side effects of nausea, vomiting, skin rash and medicinal fever may occur. Avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy food. It is not advisable to take tonic Chinese medicine at the same time.
