What’s wrong with the extra sticky leucorrhea?

In clinical practice, if the leukorrhea is particularly sticky and snot-like, this condition is often due to chronic inflammation of the cervix. Due to chronic inflammation resulting in localized glandular secretion of the cervix and the exudation of inflammation, the leucorrhea becomes sticky and can be yellow in color. Clinical examination often reveals localized cervical congestion, edema or cervical hypertrophy, visible nuchal cysts, and cervical polyps. If the leucorrhea is thick and slimy, this is often due to inflammation of the vaginal mucosa. It is recommended to check the routine leucorrhea and give some clinical treatment according to the pathogenic bacteria of the infection. Therefore, for leucorrhea that is particularly sticky it is best to do laboratory tests clinically and it is recommended to also do cervical cancer screening to understand if there are lesions in the cervical epithelium.
