CT manifestations of mesenteric torsion

Mesenteric torsion belongs to a very important disease of acute abdomen, and there are some blood vessels in the mesentery, which will cause intestinal ischemia after torsion. The CT manifestations of mesenteric torsion mainly include the following points: 1. Changes in the morphology of the blood vessels can be seen, rotating in one direction, forming the whirlpool sign; 2. After the mesenteric blood vessels are affected, the intestines will have ischemia or bruising, and the intestinal tract will be changed accordingly. If intestinal edema leads to thickening of the intestinal wall, there may be exudate around it, and there may be mesenteric edema and peritoneal effusion, all of which can provide a diagnostic basis.
