What is arthritis?

  Arthritis is a broad term that refers broadly to joint diseases such as joint pain and dysfunction due to inflammation. When the cartilage on the surface of a joint is destroyed due to abnormal forces, trauma, infection and other diseases, symptoms such as joint pain, swelling, fluid accumulation and impaired movement can occur and are collectively referred to as arthritis.
