Anal incontinence is mostly seen in the elderly and patients with partial anal surgery.
Anal fistula is an abnormal channel formed around the rectum and anal canal, fistula opening inward to the rectum or anal canal mucosa, opening outward to the skin around the anus, mostly formed by perianal abscess breakout around the rectum and anal canal, mostly seen in young and middle-aged men. Patients have a history of perianal abscess or chronic inflammation of the intestinal tract.
The main manifestation of anal fistula is the continuous or intermittent overflow of bloody or purulent mucus secretion from the anus or perianal area, and sometimes there is also gas or fecal discharge.
