What tests are needed for cystitis?

Cystitis is caused by many etiologies, so there are some related tests for these etiologies. The most important clinical aspects are the following: the first is the physical examination, cystitis is divided into acute and chronic, acute cystitis is fever, urinary frequency, urinary urgency, painful urination, etc.. Chronic cystitis is roughly similar to acute cystitis, but there is usually little to no fever, and there may be vague pain in the lower back, abdomen and perineum, or discomfort, which needs to be detected by the clinician through physical examination. The second is usually a more routine examination. The more important one is the routine urine examination, which includes the white blood cell count and the red blood cell count, which are included in the urine routine, as well as the urine bacterial culture. Bacterial culture is very important, the clinical anti-inflammatory treatment, mainly with the urine culture results to adjust the application of antimicrobial agents. The third is some further tests, including ultrasound, CT, urography and so on, which are determined by the condition, because if cystitis is suspected to be an infection caused by some body cause, then some relevant tests are needed, such as ultrasound or CT to detect stones, tumors and other factors.
