Surgery of adrenal nodules is complicated because the adrenal glands are very small and located deep in the human tissue, at the uppermost part of the kidney, and internally adjacent to the vena cava and the abdominal aorta, and in the upper part adjacent to the diaphragm, so the procedure is relatively complicated because of their deep location and anatomical structure. But nowadays, the surgery can be performed by laparoscopy, which is operated by instruments, thus adopting a minimally invasive surgical approach without the need for a large incision, and the surgery is performed under television surveillance, which has a certain magnification effect, so the field of view is clearer, it is easier to control the bleeding during the surgery, and it is easier to achieve a fine type of dissection. However, adrenal nodule surgery is still a high-risk and complicated surgery, because the adrenal gland itself has a certain function of hormone secretion, and when the adrenal gland is stripped or touched during the surgery, it can cause a transient over-secretion of hormones, which can lead to acute elevation of blood pressure or arrhythmia.
