Cerebral insufficiency of blood supply, how to treat

Cerebral blood supply insufficiency can be treated using general treatment, medication and surgery.
1. General treatment: actively search for and treat the primary disease. Improve life and dietary habits, quit smoking and drinking, eat more dietary fiber, fish and meat and other foods.
2. Medication: The following medications are recommended to be used under doctor’s supervision. Antiplatelet and anticoagulant drugs can prevent cerebrovascular thrombosis, common drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel, warfarin and so on. Nimodipine, vincristine and other drugs can dilate blood vessels in the brain and improve cerebral blood supply.
3. Surgery: Insufficient blood supply to the brain caused by narrowed blood vessels can be considered for surgical treatment. For example, if the carotid artery is severely narrowed, carotid endarterectomy or carotid stenting can be used.
Patients with insufficient cerebral blood supply are advised to go to the hospital for timely treatment.
