Treatment plan】Nasal spray (mometasone furoate nasal spray + azelastine hydrochloride nasal spray) + saline rinse + oral medication (nasal abdomen and orifice granules)
Treatment period】Outpatient treatment, review after 1 month

I. Initial consultation
The patient, a 36-year-old female, complained of frequent insomnia at night due to recent depression, followed by symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing, etc. At the same time, the patient described that her symptoms of nasal congestion and runny nose were more serious at night and she needed to keep blowing her nose, which further affected her sleep quality and formed a vicious cycle.
II. Treatment process
The nasal septum was slightly deviated, the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity was congested, the bilateral inferior turbinates were slightly enlarged, and no abnormality was found in the nasopharynx. As the patient did not apply decongestants for a long time, drug rhinitis could be excluded. The patient was advised to apply mometasone furoate nasal spray and azelastine hydrochloride nasal spray, rinse the nasal cavity with saline before using the nasal spray, use two kinds of nasal sprays regularly every day, observe the efficacy for 1 month with regular medication, and take oral nasal abnormalities and orthodontic granules for treatment. efficacy, the patient accepted this treatment plan.
III. Treatment effect
The patient complied with the doctor’s prescription for regular oral medication and standardized application of nasal spray combination therapy, and was reviewed 1 month after the outpatient treatment. He is able to sleep at night and is emotionally stable after actively adjusting his mentality, and has resumed normal work and life.
IV. Notes
It is gratifying to be able to resume normal sleep and life through treatment, but after the condition has improved, patients still need to pay attention to maintaining reasonable work and rest, pay attention to taking protective measures in daily life to avoid irritating gases or liquids to stimulate the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, and pay more attention to avoid giving themselves too much pressure in work or life, pay attention to promptly channeling bad emotions, and be optimistic and positive about life. Pay attention to avoid contact with dust or irritating gas to avoid recurrent attacks.
V. Personal insight
Vasodilatory rhinitis is a relatively common disease in the ENT clinic, with symptoms similar to allergic rhinitis and good efficacy with medication, so it needs to be treated actively, usually as the patient recovered better with active medication and shorter treatment period. The cause of the disease is also influenced by psychological factors, so patients need to ensure a positive attitude, avoid anxiety and depression, pay attention to warmth when the seasons change, and wear a mask outside.
