There is no fastest and most effective treatment for burns, you should choose the appropriate way to treat the burn according to the actual condition of the burn, including general treatment, wound treatment, drug treatment, anti-shock treatment, surgical treatment and so on.
1. General treatment: If the area of the burn is relatively small and the degree of the burn is relatively light, you can use cold water, ice water wet compresses or soak the injured area for about half an hour, to prevent the heat from continuing to bring harm to the tissues around the affected area, and then send the doctor to the hospital for treatment in a timely manner.
2. Wound treatment: burns should first be cleared, burns are shallow, and then be bandaged therapy, regular medication.
3. Medication: If the burns cause wounds in the first degree or shallow second degree, can be used externally with moist burn cream, zinc sulfadiazine cream and other medication, or iodine vapour disinfection and regular change of medication.
4. Anti-shock treatment: After severe burns, when a large amount of fluid leaks out, it may lead to shock, which can be life-threatening in severe cases. Anti-shock treatment can be done by rehydrating fluids to improve the physical condition and save lives.
5. Surgery: If the burn wound is very large, accompanied by oozing and ulceration, or the injury is serious, you need to follow the doctor’s instructions for surgical treatment.
