Proper Use of Febuxostat Tablets

The correct way to use febuxostat tablets is oral, 20mg once a day, on time under the guidance of a doctor, and with the appropriate increase or decrease in the dosage of the condition, it is not recommended to stop taking the drug.
Febuxostat tablets are suitable for the long-term treatment of hyperuricemia in gout patients, generally recommended initial dose of 20mg once a day when taking medication. The dosage can be gradually increased by 20mg each time, depending on the blood uric acid, up to a maximum dose of 80mg per day for 4 weeks after administration, and the lowest effective dose is maintained after the blood uric acid value reaches the standard (<6 mg/dL or <360µmol/L). To prevent gouty attacks during the initial phase of treatment, concomitant administration of NSAIDs or colchicine is recommended. It is not necessary to discontinue febuxostat therapy in the event of a gouty attack during febuxostat treatment. Gout should be treated accordingly to the patient's specific condition. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the components of the product and in patients who are using azathioprine. It is recommended to use Febuxostat according to the doctor's instructions, do not increase or decrease the dose or stop the drug.
