Based on the focal treatment of B-cell protection, our department has introduced a new measure of diabetes treatment based on exenatide. The drug has a B-cell-protective effect, with additional effects such as weight reduction and improvement of insulin resistance. It is a milestone in the treatment of diabetes mellitus. The clinical application of the drug has been carried out, and nearly 10 patients have already participated in the regimen with remarkable results. As with other drugs, the drug is started with varying degrees of gastrointestinal reactions in some patients, which are significantly reduced after 1-2 weeks of administration. Since its application in our department, the drug has been widely admired by patients.
