Compared with ibuprofen, fever suppositories are better. Fever suppositories are administered anally and are not absorbed orally, which reduces the damage to the liver and kidneys caused by the metabolism of orally administered drugs through the liver and kidneys. It also avoids the possibility of gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and even gastrointestinal bleeding and peptic ulcers that occur with oral medications. It also reduces allergic symptoms such as skin rash and urticaria caused by NSAIDs, and also reduces adverse reactions in the central nervous system, such as dizziness, headache and tinnitus that patients experience, making antipyretic suppositories better than ibuprofen.
