Is hepatitis C treatable?

Hepatitis C is treatable and can be cured in most patients. If you find out you have hepatitis C, don’t panic, on the one hand, you should actively cooperate with your doctor for relevant treatments, including antiviral, immune modulation, hepatocyte protection, improvement of liver function, and anti-fibrosis. The current treatment options for hepatitis C are traditional pegylated interferon + ribavirin (with a cure rate of 44% to 70% in genotype 1 patients) and also direct antivirals in recent years, such as sofosbuvir, raltegravir and ritonavir. However, due to the high price of recent direct antiviral drugs and not listed in China, more domestic treatment with pegylated interferon + ribavirin is currently used, with a treatment time of 48W and possible adverse drug reactions during the treatment process, so regular and strict follow-up is needed during the treatment process. On the other hand, it is important to maintain a positive and optimistic attitude and protect the liver from further damage by changing poor lifestyle and dietary habits.
