Coronary heart disease, also known as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, is a disease caused by coronary artery narrowing or occlusion due to coronary atherosclerosis, resulting in myocardial ischemia, hypoxia and even necrosis. Chinese medicine believes that among the five organs, the heart is the official of the sovereign, the sovereign is what we call the emperor and has the role of regulating the five organs and six bowels. The heart is the master of blood, the normal beating of the heart depends on the heart qi, the heart qi is strong to make the blood in the veins to run normally. If the heart functions properly, it can pump out enough blood to nourish the whole body. The weight of the adult heart is about 300g, accounting for about 0.6% of our body weight, but the oxygen consumption of the heart muscle accounts for 12% of the whole body oxygen consumption, so the heart muscle metabolism is at a high level. The blood supply of the heart depends on the coronary arteries, which are divided into two branches, left and right, and originate from the root of the aorta, which is the first pair of branches of the aorta. The right coronary artery supplies the right ventricle and the inferior wall of the left ventricle, while the left coronary artery is divided anteriorly into the anterior descending branch and the gyrus branch, which supply the anterior, lateral and posterior walls of the left ventricle, respectively. As we age, the coronary arteries become atherosclerotic, leading to narrowing or occlusion of the coronary lumen, reducing or even interrupting the blood supply to the heart, and angina or myocardial infarction occurs. The coronary arteries of Zhang’s heart were originally narrowed, and the rupture of the original atherosclerotic plaque caused by over-eating, excessive drinking and mood swings blocked the anterior descending branch of the coronary arteries of his heart, causing an acute anterior myocardial infarction and symptoms such as chest tightness and pain.
