Clear blisters on the nipples during breastfeeding may be due to the wrong way of breastfeeding. Often, when breastfeeding is done with one breast, the milk from the breast is sucked off by the baby and estrogen is immediately secreted in large quantities, prompting the mammary glands to produce milk rapidly in preparation for the next breastfeeding. However, estrogen has another role, which is to promote breast growth. If one breast is used frequently, this breast will receive a lot of estrogen and grow faster, which will result in unequal size of both breasts. The growing side of the breast may develop hyaline blisters due to higher tension. This condition usually does not require special treatment, much less pinching or rubbing, as it is easily infected. Over time, slowly correcting the way you breastfeed, the clear blisters are likely to disappear.
