What happened to the inflammation on the TCT?

If the TCT results indicate inflammation, it means that there is an infection in the vagina or cervix. The TCT procedure involves the use of a cytology brush to remove cells from the cervix for laboratory testing, during which cervical and vaginal secretions are brought into the specimen. If there is inflammation, it will be reflected by the test. Most cervical and vaginal inflammation can be relieved by treatment. The main treatment for vaginal inflammation is the use of local plugs and topical lotions. Inflammation of the cervix is also treated with topical medication and oral medication. After the treatment, it is recommended to repeat the TCT and leucorrhoea test in about three months. If the test results are normal, it is necessary to repeat the test once a year.
