For example, it is paired with deer antler, ginseng, and ripened dihuang for treating kidney yang deficiency; with ginseng and mealybugs for treating kidney yang deficiency and coughing; with mullein, rhubarb, angelica, and chuanxiong for regulating qi and activating blood circulation for treating bruises; and with Andrographis paniculata and vermilion for treating furunculosis and poisons.
