Is it enough to stop the hemoptysis?

Hemoptysis after stopping the blood is not yet, but also need to closely observe whether there is continued bleeding, and actively treat the original disease, to prevent re-bleeding.
Hemoptysis is coughing up blood or sputum with blood, mostly related to tuberculosis, bronchial dilatation, lung malignancy and various blood diseases, etc. A few hemoptysis can also be seen in coronary heart disease, acute bacterial endocarditis with aneurysm and other diseases. The main principle of treatment is to keep the airway open, correct the coagulation disorder (including stopping anticoagulants), treat the primary disease, and prevent the bleeding from continuing.
Hemoptysis itself has the tendency to stop naturally, but a large amount of hemoptysis can cause asphyxia, which is life-threatening, and should be closely observed when there is a possibility of asphyxia due to severe underlying diseases or cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Massive hemoptysis can also cause cerebral edema, respiratory tract secondary infection, pulmonary atelectasis and renal impairment and other complications.
After the hemoptysis stops, the original disease should be actively treated under the guidance of the doctor to prevent the recurrence of hemoptysis.
