Can Gui Fu Lizhong Pill be taken with Gui Fu Di Huang Wan?

It is not recommended to take Gui Fu Lizhong Pill and Gui Fu Di Huang Pill together as they have the same medication with overlapping effects.
Gui Fu Lizhong Pill is composed of Gun Jiang, Cinnamon, Codonopsis, Fried Atractylodes Macrocephalae, Pseudostemma, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, and Scorched Licorice. It is effective in tonifying the kidney and assisting yang, warming the middle and strengthening the spleen. It is mainly used for weak kidney yang, cold spleen and stomach, cold hands and feet, cold pain in the epigastrium and abdomen (stomach and abdomen feel cold and painful), vomiting and diarrhea.
The adverse effects and contraindications of this product are not clear, avoid indigestible food during consumption, and should not be taken by patients with fever and cold.
Gui Fu Di Huang Wan is composed of prepared epiphyllum, cinnamon, cornelian cherry, poria, yam and so on. The effect is to warm and tonify kidney yang. It is mainly used for insufficient kidney yang, phlegm (pathological products formed by impaired metabolism of water and fluid), wheezing and coughing, soreness and weakness of waist and knees, and unfavorable urination (unruly urination) or antidote to excessive urination.

Gui Fu Lizhong Pill and Gui Fu Di Huang Pill both contain cinnamon and epimedium, which have the effect of warming the kidney and yang.
